On a beautiful summer day, friends and family gathered for Ellen’s Celebration of Life at The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland to honor and remember Ellen.
Guests were welcomed into the space with lush floral arrangements in light blue, white, green, and a pop of yellow, which was a a thoughtful design inspired by Ellen’s favorite flower, the blue hydrangea. These blooms set a tone of comfort and joy, surrounded attendees with the same warmth that Ellen shared throughout her life.
With the serene shores of Lake Washington as the backdrop it was the perfect setting.
As guests arrived, they signed the guestbook and enjoyed light appetizers, taking time to reconnect and reflect. The room was adorned with images of Ellen, each one full of treasured memories and reminding everyone of her remarkable spirit. The heartfelt stories shared, the laughter, and the quiet moments of reflection made the celebration feel intimate and genuine.
The main program soon began. Stories of Ellen brought tears and laughter and reminded everyone the kindness Ellen brought wherever she went. As her son said so well, Ellen was a true friend to everyone and never had a bad thing to say.
Following the program the tent was flipped for a sit down dinner featuring one of Ellen’s favorite meals.
And not to miss her favorite carrot cake was well enjoyed!
This day was not only a chance to mourn the loss of a beloved soul, but also to celebrate the life she lived, and the kindness, love, and beauty she left behind. Ellen’s Celebration of Life at Woodmark Hotel was a true reflection of who she was: graceful, warm, and unforgettable.
