Having met in the dorms at Washington State University, Monica and Aaron’s wedding took place at Novelty Hill – Januik Winery one summer day back in 2021.
Choosing to forgo a traditional first look, the couple opted to share a quiet moment together before the ceremony. The ceremony itself was deeply personal. A close friend of Aaron’s officiated the ceremony while Monica’s mother walked her down the aisle.
The reception was filled with unique details that showcased their personalities. A Jenga guestbook allowed guests to leave messages on game pieces, creating a lasting keepsake. Tables were named after various types of trees, bringing a Pacific Northwest vibe to the décor. Dessert featured a variety of pies and cookies from Snohomish Pie Co., with a pie-cutting moment replacing the traditional cake cutting.
