Chara and Phech met in Boston of May 2005 while out on the town! Phech was at the birthday party of his friend Alia while Chara was at the birthday party of her friend Meg. Their parties were adjacent to one another, mingling occurred, and magic happened! After ten years together supporting each other through the ups and downs of 2.5 PhD programs, medical school, residency, the academic job search, fellowship application process and living together in three different cities (Boston, Philly & St. Louis) they found themselves in Seattle the morning of June 27, 2015 committing themselves to one another as husband and wife.
