Marc & Rick ~ September 2014

As we drove over the Hood Canal bride this weekend home from a wedding it brought us back to Marc and Rick’s wedding last September and one magical night aboard the Steamship Virginia V. The day started after departing Foss Waterway Seaport as we headed to Quartermaster Harbor where Marc and Rick said their I Do’s as they faced the town of Burton where Rick’s family vacationed every summer. After tying the knot we headed south to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge for some amazing views as we turned around underneath the bridge before heading back to Tacoma as the sun set making for one incredible first dance backdrop on the bow. With the party going strong a porpoise made it’s grand appearance alongside the steamship as it too celebrated by giving us one spectacular show! Thank you Marc and Rick for letting us be a part of your wedding day! Photos by Ryan Duclos Photography.

Lydia & Andrew ~ July 26, 2014

As the rain continues to fall today we look back a year ago today when Lydia and Andrew tied the knot and celebrated at Axis Pioneer Square.  (This Seattleite is clearly excited to have rain after being in the midst of one of the hottest and driest summers in recent memory. Hint – Seattle hasn’t had measurable rain since June 28 and hasn’t had significant rain since June 1. The last time it rained on a weekend? April 25.) We were honored to help plan and design their wedding as it truly was one of our favorites from last summer. One memory that stands out was when we surprised Andrew with a visit from the Oregon Duck. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a grown men so excited that night. Happy Anniversary Lydia & Andrew! Photos by Melanie Duerkop Photography!

Jenny & Ryan ~ September 20, 2014

Jenny and Ryan had dreamed of spending a long weekend celebrating with their friends and family so when they came across Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Cle Elum they knew it was the perfect place for their Mexican Fiesta inspired wedding weekend! We loved all the details including the Mexican flags that acted as both a backdrop for their ceremony as well as décor for their table centerpieces. One of the guests favorite additions to the wedding were the shots of Tequila that were passed as guests were seated for dinner allowing everyone to take one celebratory shot of Tequila together! We invite you to follow along their wedding day with photos by Erin Schedler Photography.

Jennings & John ~ September 27, 2014

We were honored to be a part of Jennings & John’s September 27, 2014 wedding last fall at St. Joseph Parish Capital Hill followed by a reception later that evening at Olympic Sculpture Park. It was a beautiful celebration complete with gorgeous floral by Floret Flower Farm and personal touches including the cake that paid tribute to some of their most treasured cities. One of our favorite touches was the surprise accordion player hired by the bride’s brother who meandered through the dinner tables as guests dined. Betsy & Nat ~ May 31, 2014

Last year we had the honor of helping Betsy and Nat plan their May 31, 2014 wedding at Craven Farm in Snohomish. Betsy and Nat who first met in 2005 and started dating in November of 2012 were officially engaged on a romantic trip in Victoria B.C. Canada in August of 2013. With Craven Farm and their photographer Kristen Honeycutt booked, we met with them to start planning their dream wedding day.  We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spring day as Betsy and Nat tied the knot and celebrated with friends and family. Our favorite detail of the wedding happened to be the ice cream sandwich dessert table complete with a ice cream cutting cake – yum!

Lauren & Jimmy ~ June 21, 2014

As winter sets in we miss those longer summer nights more and more. Today we look back at Lauren & Jimmy’s summer solstice wedding at the Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa and have hope that they will soon be here again as we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From the gorgeous floral by Maxine’s Floral Design to the simply elegant cake from New Renaissance Cakes all ending with a stellar dance party (thanks to DJ Chris Graves) featuring a baseball themed groom’s table complete with big-chew, cracker jacks, red vines, sunflower seeds, mini-cheesecakes and Alanta Braves paraphernalia paying tribute to Jimmy’s favorite team.
