We were honored to be a part of Jennings & John’s September 27, 2014 wedding last fall at St. Joseph Parish Capital Hill followed by a reception later that evening at Olympic Sculpture Park. It was a beautiful celebration complete with gorgeous floral by Floret Flower Farm and personal touches including the cake that paid tribute to some of their most treasured cities. One of our favorite touches was the surprise accordion player hired by the bride’s brother who meandered through the dinner tables as guests dined. Photos by Photo Elan.
Thank you for everything — I want to be sure you know, BreeAnn, that John and I are often saying how glad we are we hired you and that you are on our team. I’m getting quite excited and know we couldn’t do this without you! Thank you! Jennings
Last year we had the honor of helping Betsy and Nat plan their May 31, 2014 wedding at Craven Farm in Snohomish. Betsy and Nat who first met in 2005 and started dating in November of 2012 were officially engaged on a romantic trip in Victoria B.C. Canada in August of 2013. With Craven Farm and their photographer Kristen Honeycutt booked, we met with them to start planning their dream wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spring day as Betsy and Nat tied the knot and celebrated with friends and family. Our favorite detail of the wedding happened to be the ice cream sandwich dessert table complete with a ice cream cutting cake – yum!
As winter sets in we miss those longer summer nights more and more. Today we look back at Lauren & Jimmy’s summer solstice wedding at the Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa and have hope that they will soon be here again as we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From the gorgeous floral by Maxine’s Floral Design to the simply elegant cake from New Renaissance Cakes all ending with a stellar dance party (thanks to DJ Chris Graves) featuring a baseball themed groom’s table complete with big-chew, cracker jacks, red vines, sunflower seeds, mini-cheesecakes and Alanta Braves paraphernalia paying tribute to Jimmy’s favorite team. Morgan & Levi’s May 30th Lord Hill Farms wedding came together perfectly with the help of family and friends who helped make their day complete including floral designed by the bride’s aunt, live ceremony music performed by the bride’s sister alongside two close friends and not to forget the bride also happens to be a cousin of BreeAnn, owner of Pink Blossom Events. After surprising Heather with a proposal at the top of Mt. Pilchuck it was only fitting that Kevin and Heather chose Lord Hill Farms outdoor ceremony location for their nuptials which featured a distant view of Mt. Pilchuck in the background this past May. Chris Sollart Photography was onsite to capture their big day.
Sara and Stephen met the summer before their sophomore year at the University of Washington and right away became fast friends. After six years of dating and experiencing the highs and lows of life together they took the next step of moving in together and soon after were planning their wedding day. After setting their wedding date and venue they soon became lost bringing their vision and ideas to life and that’s when Pink Blossom Events stepped in. Having chosen a book themed wedding to incorporate one of their favorite past times and wanting to incorporate Sara’s love of lavender and color we couldn’t wait to get started! Taking into consideration The Rainier Chapter House’s architecture and historic past (it happens to be a replica of George Washington’s Mount Vernon home) as well as the season we set forth on a soft color palette of spring pastels with a vintage yet romantic spin on the biblical theme. Some of our favorite touches that day include mini books fashioned as escort cards, letters as table numbers and a dessert bar filled with cookies made by Sara’s grandma and a gorgeous wedding cake made by the brides Sisters. When Hannah and Mike came to Pink Blossom Events for help planning their wedding, Hannah told me that the most important elements to her were dessert as she always ate dessert first, a grand entrance piece and lush floral although nothing too bright as neutral palettes always caught her eye. With Sodo Park as the backdrop, I went about designing their wedding with those elements in mind and incorporating vendors who met their vision. I look back over the images taken by the ever talented Alante Photography and reminisce over a day full of love, beauty and celebration. See the full story
