Sirui & Abby ~ DeLille Cellars Wedding, Woodinville

bride-and-groom-kiss
As Sirui & Abby shared their first look among the orchard at DeLille Cellars, all of the hassle and bustle of the morning dissipated as they were together. Later that July afternoon guests arrived to a pre-ceremony cocktail hour, featuring a tasting bar showcasing local beer & wine along with tray-passed appetizers by Kaspars. With the ceremony soon approaching loved ones moved to the upper gardens where vows would be shared.  For their ceremony Sirui and Abby, along with their parents, grandparents and officiant, made their way to the center island as their bridal party, friends and family watched from across the pond. Following the ceremony, officiated by the Best Man, guests were treated to a second cocktail hour by the gazebo and upper pond. As the summer sunshine continued, guests partook in lawn games (bocce ball, corn hole & horse shoes) and refreshments. When the dinner hour struck, loved ones made their way to the tent which featured a color palette of muted sage, blush and plum accented by bright blooms and the glow of mercury candles. Wanting an interactive dinner Abby and Sirui choose a variety of food stations and mixed seating alternating between traditional rounds, wine barrels and tall cocktail tables. The rest of the evening was filled with heartfelt toasts, wedding cake, dancing with The Nines and capturing a selfie in the polaroid guestbook station or popping in the photo booth! One of the highlights of the night was a performance on DeLille’s baby grand piano by talented one of their Groomsmen. As the night came to an end Kaspars brought out late-night snacks (sliders & fries and New Orleans-style beignets) before friends and family cheered them on with a sparkler send-off as the Newlyweds drove off in a Tesla. bride-and-groom-enter-reception instax-polaroids-at-wedding toasts-and-speeches toasts-and-speeches toasts-and-speeches sunset-portraits sunset-wedding-portraits sunset-wedding-portraits-in-vinyard sunset-wedding-portraits

Andrea was so well organized and we felt so relieved putting our day-of planning in her hands…Andrea was on top of everything… It felt like she was everywhere she needed to be at any given time, I can’t imagine we could have pulled this off without her. Yes, it was probably some of the best money we spent on the wedding. ~ Abby

Nikki & Craig ~ Fairmont Olympic Wedding

night_portrait_of_bride_and_groom

Nikki and Craig lived out their dream wedding at the Fairmont Olympic wedding last summer. Initially meeting many years ago in their small town as their paths crossed continuously as they both worked in similar volunteer organizations and attended various community events. Because they both worked in the same industry, they shared many of the same friends and interests as they. When they both began new chapters in their lives a few years later, their newly single lives crossed paths again and they soon began dating and fell in love. Azzura Photography captured the start to their happily ever after.

Nicole & Tracy ~ Wedding at The Club at Snoqualmie

wedding_ceremony

Nicole and Tracy’s love story began between classes at the University of Virginia and was celebrated last July with their wedding at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. We spent nine months working with Nicole and Tracy planning their dream wedding and feel in love with the soft color palette of peaches, blush, white and ivory. Our favorite piece of the wedding was the gorgeous two tiered buttercream cake with handcrafted sugar flowers by Honey Crumb Cake Studio. Julie & Walter ~ Post Wedding Brunch

guests_at_brunch

Our favorite weddings to plan are those where we get to be a part of the entire wedding weekend. After Julie & Walter married one Friday night last July they treated there guests to a post wedding brunch in the park at Woodland Park. Food trucks, a balloon artist and lawn games were the perfect way to recharge after a late night. Later that evening friends and family met for one last hurrah as they boarded Argosy Cruises for a Sunset Cruise on Lake Union. Julie & Walter ~ Summer Wedding at UW Center for Urban Horticulture

sunset_bridal_portraits

Julie and Walter’s story begins at a VA medical center. It might not be the first place you think of when you think ‘romance.’ Still, love can happen in peculiar places, and in this case they met within the walls of the Primary Care Clinic. It happened over four years ago. For those who don’t know, Julie is a physician with a social worker’s heart; Walter is a social worker who once played a physician on stage. They both do their work with focus, compassion and gusto. Maybe it’s that enthusiasm they first noticed in each other. As anyone who works in a busy, stressful place will tell you, it is risky to ask a coworker out on a date, even if only for a dog walk or an evening of Karaoke with coworkers. Still that’s how their romance started—what is life if not a gamble?

For those of you who don’t know, Walter was Julie’s assigned social worker. Indeed, he was. Until he fired her, that is. You see, Walter felt a little dizzy when they worked together. And Julie relied on her social worker a lot, rarely missing an opportunity to refer a homeless patient or a distressed caregiver. Walter had to compose himself after meetings with Dr. Silverman—focus was a challenge after those encounters. So Walter met with his supervisor and requested a change. “Dr. Silverman gives me too much work,” he lied. “I need to disperse my efforts. She’s not the only doctor I work with, you know. She can’t rule my time.” Once separated from the tension, though, he couldn’t separate her from his thoughts. Action was needed. In one of those impulses that changes the course of lives, Walter asked Julie out.

On a blustery Saturday morning, Walter and Julie took their dogs, Buddy and Louie, for a walk around Seward Park. And the rest, as they say, is history. After a year spent together hiking, skiing, backpacking, traveling, sharing poetry and music, dancing, cooking and baseball and spending time with friends and family they married on July 7, 2017 at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture. bride_hugging_mom bride_getting_ready

While Julie wanted a more simplistic all white wedding, Walter wished for all the colors under the sun. And so the first of compromises in a marriage was had, white linens for Julie with bright floral for Walter. On a beautiful July summer day, Julie and Walter married in the round, under the Chuppah, as loved ones watched them repeat their vows. With the breaking of the glass, they were officially wed and it was time to celebrate! As the sounds of a Klezmer Band played guests dined on appetizers, sipped cool beverages and meandered through the tree filled grove. With guests seated under the reception tent, the Rabbi did a blessing over the Challah. A delicious meal broken up with toasts ended as the sounds of a bagpipe led friends and family up to the McVay Courtyard where Walter serenaded Julie before taking their first dance as husband and wife. A night of dancing, cake and the Hora were had before wedding guests were shuttled back to their hotel late that evening.  Photos by Lucas Mobley Photography groom_getting_ready first_look first_look first_look first_look first_look ketubah family_photos family_photos family_photos ketubah__and_marriage_license_signing ketubah__and_marriage_license_signing ketubah__and_marriage_license_signing ketubah__and_marriage_license_signing ketubah__and_marriage_license_signing welcome_sign Huppa wedding_ceremony_site huppa_details wedding_ceremony boys_at_wedding_ceremony bride_walking_down_the_aisle jewish_wedding_ceremony stomping_the_glass jewish_wedding_ceremony cocktail_hour_site passed_appetizers Klezmer_band cocktail_hour_under_trees wedding_guests_mingle wedding_guests_mingle wedding_guests_mingle sunset_bridal_portraits sunset_bridal_portraits sunset_bridal_portraits challah_bread reception_table_details reception_table_details wedding_toasts_and_speeches wedding_toasts_and_speeches wedding_toasts_and_speeches wedding_toasts_and_speeches wedding_toasts_and_speeches bagpiper_leading_guests cake_details cake_cutting

Michelle & Pat, Rosario Resort & Spa Wedding, Orcas Island

The San Juan Islands hold a special place in our heart as we grew up camping on the Islands during the summer months and each time we head up to the Islands for a wedding we are already giddy with joy! Last summer Pat and Michelle were married at Rosario Resort & Spa on Orcas Island and we couldn’t have been more grateful for all the natural beauty around including the views from the ceremony overlooking Cascade Bay and the surrounding islands. Our favorite part of the wedding had to have been during toasts as Pat’s Best Man and Michelle’s Parents had as rolling with laughter and shedding a few tears. Photos by Liz Lui Photography.

Jordan & Sierra, DeLille Cellars Wedding, Woodinville, WA

wedding_ceremony

We love fabulous wedding images and Sierra and Jordan’s DeLille Cellars Wedding images from Alexandra Knight Photography did not disappoint! A stunning color palette and floral, paired with the rustic garden venue, made for one beautiful wedding day! As guests arrived for the ceremony the sounds of Yo-Yo Ma filled the gardens which featured wine barrels adorned with lanterns and floral wreaths. After the I Do’s, guests enjoyed cocktail hour by the pond, until the clouds opened in true Seattle style, encouraging guests to proceed to the reception tent by the Chateau. Long guest tables were decorated with long garlands and candles. To pull in the winery, escort cards were secured with a collection of wine corks. Following a full buffet dinner featuring short ribs and mahi mahi, toasts by friends and family, cake-cutting and first dances, guests filled the dance floor as hit the stage.   One of our favorite pieces of Sierra and Jordan’s wedding day included their desire to give back; from the blankets for their guests to use throughout the night that were later donated to the homeless to notes letting guests know that in lieu of favors, the couple had donated to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
