Chara & Phech ~ June 27, 2015

Chara and Phech met in Boston of May 2005 while out on the town!  Phech was at the birthday party of his friend Alia while Chara was at the birthday party of her friend Meg.  Their parties were adjacent to one another, mingling occurred, and magic happened!  After ten years together supporting each other through the ups and downs of 2.5 PhD programs, medical school, residency, the academic job search, fellowship application process and living together in three different cities (Boston, Philly & St. Louis) they found themselves in Seattle the morning of June 27, 2015 committing themselves to one another as husband and wife. The brunch celebration was filled with live music, laughter, tears and memories to last a lifetime! Photos by Crozier Photography.

Rob & Elizabeth ~ June 6, 2015

After meeting on Match.com Rob and Elizabeth’s whirlwind romance was sealed at Hotel 1000 on June 6, 2015. With grown children of their own it was extremely important to them that their kids play a role in their wedding day as the two families became one. Katie Parra Photography captured a wedding day full of romance and family.

Erin & Buddy ~ March 28, 2015

Having known each other since birth, their families could agree, Erin and Buddy were meant to be! Born in the same naval hospital in Orlando, Florida just a few months apart and with their parents already friends they were together from the start. As the years went on and Erin and her parents left Florida both families stayed in contact and as love would have it, Erin and Buddy grew back together but this time for good! Married on March 28, 2015 at Pan Pacific Hotel Clinton James Photography was on hand to capture the celebration.

Carrie & Mike ~ April 25, 2015

When we first met with Carrie and Mike to help them plan and design their April wedding earlier this year at Alderbrook Resort & Spa we knew we were in for a good time! Having meet on Match.com they wanted to host a weekend celebration that included beautiful floral, their favorite charity the Kitsap Humane Society and dancing that would keep their guests talking for years to come! Despite a rain cloud that decided to come in a few minutes before the ceremony forcing us to move the ceremony undercover at the last minute, we’d say their wedding was picture perfect and yes, their dance party was one for the record books as we couldn’t keep those two off the dance floor! It was an epic four hour dance party! Photos by Affinity Photography.

Weddings In Woodinville ~ January 2015

Soon after I was asked to participate in this year’s Weddings In Woodinville I awoke one morning to find the most amazing sunrise outside my window and I knew that I had picked the theme! Growing up I could see the sun coming up out my bedroom window and those cold frosty winter mornings often produced the most vivid sunrises full of pinks, coral and oranges. Every winter I look forward to those mornings as you know that sunrise will bring one memorable day! As I awoke the morning of the show and drove into Woodinville the sunrise proved to be just as incredible as I had hoped it would be that day lending itself to a fantastic show this past January.

Columbia Winery was transformed the day of the show from the bright floral arrangements complete with hues of pink, coral and oranges and snow covered branches and evergreens from Fena Flowers to the linens and furniture from ABC Rentals by Court and Prop Gallery, a Winter Sunrise was born! WIW_1

As guests entered Columbia Winery they were directed by signage featuring a stunning watercolor sunrise and were led to the Columbia Room. Passing through the foyer guests couldn’t help but touch the snow covered table that greeted guests as they were about the enter the room. Once inside a custom guest book canvas complete with a caricature of the bride and groom was featured.

WIW_2 WIW_3 The Columbia Room was split into both a Lounge Area and Reception Area. The Lounge featured jewelry, a Vodka Bar sponsored by New Amsterdam Vodka and a photo booth by Rick + Anna Photography. On the other side of the room the white dance floor became the focal point of the room as a four post structure outlined the dance floor. The dance floor structure featured a snow frosted cedar garland and floral arrangements all supported by birch and snow covered twigs covered bases. Surrounding the dance floor was a dessert bar, reception tables featuring snow filled place settings and rock candy favors as well as a wine bar and buffet by John Howie Catering. Music throughout was provided by Bugsie Productions.

WIW_5 WIW_6 WIW_7 WIW_9 Outside as the sounds of Smooth Groove played, a ceremony was featured underneath the tent. Mirroring the dance floor structure a chuppah inspired structure covered in lush floral, frosted greens, birch branches and sparkly snow covered twigs centered the room. A table for signing the marriage license during the ceremony stood underneath the ceremony structure. Glass cylinders filled with snow and suspended carnation balls added a touch of winter beauty to the ceremony seating.

WIW_8 Guests left Columbia Winery with ideas that would transform their upcoming wedding whether they were marrying in winter or summer.

Steven & Jessica ~ September 2014

As kids head back to school this week and the official end to summer (aka Labor Day Weekend) has passed, we look forward to a full season of fall weddings ahead! One of our favorites from last year was Steven and Jessica’s fall inspired Melrose Market Studios wedding. We were honored to plan their dream wedding complete with a dessert bar themed after their three dogs waffle, oreo and sprinkles! Photos by MKippen Photography.

Spectacularly flawless. After I proposed 13 months ago, I immediately started looking at wedding planners on Yelp. I contacted three. Of the two that got back to me, I was seriously impressed by how organized, professional, and prepared BreeAnn was at our initial meeting. My (now) wife and I had no idea what we wanted out of a wedding, just that it should be in September and that we had vague ideas involving our dogs. BreeAnn was reassuring, though, and put us at-ease immediately; we made a decision within a day and she got to work right away. If I recall correctly, she had started sending us venue recommendations before she’d even received our first payment!

I don’t think a single vendor she recommended was a miss. She had a different DJ in mind than those preferred by the venue we picked out – we’re glad we met with him, because he was easily the second best vendor we hired. In fact, the only time we went “off menu” was for the bride’s hair/makeup, and I think we regretted it.

BreeAnn was very responsive, kept detailed notes of every interaction we had (both with her and with venues), and was also very flexible in working with our schedules. To echo other reviews, we heard from multiple vendors that they love to work with her, and I can understand why. We never even met with the florist – she had recommended one in Kirkland, which was a difficult trip for me. At that point I trusted her judgment enough to just let her handle it. Sure enough, the flowers were beautiful, delivery was handled without my involvement, just like everything else.

On wedding day this weekend she was a godsend, completely on top of everything so that we could just bask in a perfectly executed ceremony and reception. Sure, there were (very minor) hiccups, but she dealt with them immediately and I was not only able to enjoy my wedding, I even had the chance to eat a full dinner! When the dessert bar ran out of our macarons before we had a chance to have one, she even tracked one down for us. Many family and friends were praising her involvement today. I would highly recommend hiring BreeAnn for day-of coordination if you aren’t thinking of doing a full planning package, but really, I’d highly recommend that as well. We would not have been able to pull things off without her. ~ Steven

Marc & Rick ~ September 2014

As we drove over the Hood Canal bride this weekend home from a wedding it brought us back to Marc and Rick’s wedding last September and one magical night aboard the Steamship Virginia V. The day started after departing Foss Waterway Seaport as we headed to Quartermaster Harbor where Marc and Rick said their I Do’s as they faced the town of Burton where Rick’s family vacationed every summer. After tying the knot we headed south to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge for some amazing views as we turned around underneath the bridge before heading back to Tacoma as the sun set making for one incredible first dance backdrop on the bow. With the party going strong a porpoise made it’s grand appearance alongside the steamship as it too celebrated by giving us one spectacular show! Thank you Marc and Rick for letting us be a part of your wedding day! Photos by Ryan Duclos Photography.

Lydia & Andrew ~ July 26, 2014

As the rain continues to fall today we look back a year ago today when Lydia and Andrew tied the knot and celebrated at Axis Pioneer Square.  (This Seattleite is clearly excited to have rain after being in the midst of one of the hottest and driest summers in recent memory. Hint – Seattle hasn’t had measurable rain since June 28 and hasn’t had significant rain since June 1. The last time it rained on a weekend? April 25.) We were honored to help plan and design their wedding as it truly was one of our favorites from last summer. One memory that stands out was when we surprised Andrew with a visit from the Oregon Duck. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a grown men so excited that night. Happy Anniversary Lydia & Andrew! Photos by Melanie Duerkop Photography!
